Vic: 16 yo boy charged over fatal stabbing

A 16-year-old boy is expected to face a Childrens Court today charged with the murder
of a man in Melbourne's north on Saturday night.

The boy was charged yesterday after a 19-year-old man was found fatally stabbed at
Snell Grove, Oak Park, near Nerissa Grove.

The teenager appeared at an out-of-sessions hearing and was remanded in custody to
appear before a Childrens Court today.

A police spokesman says paramedics were called to the scene but were unable to revive the man.

Police believe the stabbing occurred at another location and the victim was taken to Snell Grove.





The name of the dead man has not been released at the request of family.
