Qld: Drug ring accused in court

A Queensland Supreme Court jury's been told five Gold Coast men were part of a drug
ring which conspired to import several tonnes of cannabis into South Australia.

GORAN CAUSEVIC, 49, ANDREW STEPHEN PERICIC, 33, MARK SEDDON REEVES, 50, RODGER JOHN
THORNE, 52, and TONY TOLJA, 31, all pleaded not guilty to conspiring to import drugs between
April 1, 1996 and March 27, 1997.

Prosecutor MILTON GRIFFIN said in his opening address the five men were part of a ring
who planned to import between three and six tonnes of cannabis resin into the country.
