LONDON -- The device manufacturers are out in force for this year's Open Mobile Summit London, June 8-9.
Corporate Vice Presidents of Motorola, LG Electronics and Sony Ericsson join HTC's President Europe and CCS Insight's Ben Wood in London to explore the future of devices. High on the agenda is the race to catch Apple in the tablet wars.
It's rumoured that another major OEM will be demoing their new tablet at the event this year too.
Meanwhile, Stephen Elop, Nokia's controversial CEO is Keynoting - and expected to share details on how the Microsoft / Nokia alliance is taking shape - and how together these two giants plan to catch iOS and Android in the platform wars.
Elsewhere in the agenda, Amazon's mobile category lead, Aaron Rubenson shares how Amazon hopes to monetize Android with their new app store.
It's not all about platforms however, with major publishers, entertainment brands, retailers and TV companies taking to the stage to share their perspective on tablets and multi-screen media.
Jonas Bonnier CEO Bonnnier, Charlie Redmayne EVP Harper Collins, Rob Grimshaw MD FT.com and Rick Levine SVP Consumer Publishing at Conde Nast explore the future of publishing in the tablet era.
And TV bosses Claire Tavernier SEVP FMX at FremantleMedia and Olivier Wers CEO Endemol World wide brands join BSKyB, You Tube, Sony Music and social gaming leader Playfish in exploring the future of mobile multi-screen media - from the smartphone to the tablet at the connected TV.
