Fed: Hundreds of Australians remain stranded for second night
Australian travellers remain stranded in Thailand for a second night .. after protesters
seeking to overthrow the government forced the closure of three airports.
The Aussies are among more than 15-thousand international travellers waiting for Phuket
airport to reopen.
However the anti-government protesters say they won't back down until the Thai prime
minister SAMAK SUNDARAVEJ resigns.
Jetstar says a Sydney-bound Airbus .. scheduled to depart from Phuket yesterday ..
is still unable to leave .. forcing 265 Australian passengers to spend another night in
Phuket.
They .. and 274 Australian passengers diverted to Bangkok .. are being accommodated at hotels.
Qantas says its Bangkok services are not facing any disruptions.
